Miss Walsh Is Bride of Mr. McCarty

On Saturday morning, Oct. 2, at 10 o'clock, Miss Mary Alene Walsh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Walsh, Goshen Springs, became the bride of Jerry Bolivar McCarty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry H. McCarty, Quitman.

The vows were said in the study of Dr. W. Douglas Hudgins, pastor of the First Baptist church, who officiated. Mrs. G. A. McCarty, sister of the bride, and Dr. McCarty, cousin of the bridegroom, were the only attendants.

The bride wore a plum colored gabardine suit, cloud white hat and gloves with other assessories [sic accessories] in black. Her corsage was of white orchids.

The couple left immediately for a brief honeymoon and on their return will be at home in Laurel.
