In December 1999, we began to suspect (mistakenly, as it turns out) that there was a significant discrepancy in <px> between BTF and JTF. This prompted the tracker comparison by Paul and Roy (2nd last link above). The latter quotes a preliminary JTF flow calculated by Heng, which was amended later, and also quotes Heng's flow from his primary BTF analysis before his final correction for pion contamination. Also, there is a typo in the final table for the USB result based on BTF. The following table gives the best "final values" at 6A GeV beam energy for the slope F = d<px>/dy in MeV/c:
    JTF          BTF
Heng     196     171
USB     200     186

Subsequently, Richard has carried out a slow simulator study which serves to confirm that (a) we need not be concerned about tracker differences in sideward flow analyses, and (b) the detector distortion using the py slice approach is within error bars for both trackers over the rapidity range of interest.
