Projects for this class are optional. Students who choose to do a project can have the weight assigned to either Test I or Test II reduced from 25% to a lower number. The other components of the total grade will be scaled-up to bring the overall total back to 100%.

Projects in this class involve researching a question or topic inspired by the textbook, by homework assignments, or possibly by another source. The outcome of a project might be text and/or pictures/diagrams made available to the class on this web page, or else it might be a short presentation to the class accompanied by demonstrations.
