*MATH 12001 (Algebra & Trigonometry) is a prerequisite course, which the student with sufficient background should bypass.

**Chemistry Elective(s) normally must be chosen from either CHEM 20482 (Basic Organic Chemistry), CHEM 30482 (Organic Chemistry), CHEM 30476 (Organic Chemistry Lab), CHEM 30113 (Instrumental Analysis), CHEM 30284 (Intro. Biological Chemistry), CHEM 40555 (Elem. Physical Chemistry), CHEM 40556 (Elem. Physical Chemistry), or CHEM 40567 (Basic Concepts of Physical Chemistry). Students may complete either Organic Chemistry sequence, CHEM 20481+20482 or CHEM 30481+30482. Note that CHEM 40555 covers primarily thermodynamics; many physics majors may benefit more from choosing CHEM 40556 rather than CHEM 40555 (prerequisite CHEM 40555 or PHY 45301). Students who choose CHEM 40567 should not also take CHEM 40555 or 40556.

Note: Courses highlighted in red are not part of the core requirements for the BS degree, but are required for the Chemistry Option.
