Top Ten Facts That Prospective Graduate
Applicants Should Know About Kent State.....
While our students like to do physics research and enjoy their graduate school experience,
we still assume that all of them are focused on the ultimate goal of completing their
degree without undue delay. Therefore, we do our best to help them to finish and then
move on to the next step in their career.
National statistics show that our PhD graduates complete their degrees
sooner than the median time for a PhD Physics degree in the US. The most comprehensive
statistics come from a comparison period in the 1980s and 1990s, when our PhD students
finished 9 months sooner than the national average time for physics.
