*Note: Elihu Littleberry KIRKSEY's military marker contains an error with regard to his Confederate service. Elihu L. Kirksey did not serve in the 17th Texas Infantry. His father John Mauldin Kirksey did, as well as his uncle Ervin L. Kirksey, who died at the Battle of Milliken's Bend. Elihu was too young to join this unit at the time it was formed.
