*The 1900 and 1910 census records for Macon Co., GA indicate that Georgia BARFIELD and Benjamin Daniel CHILDS married about 1890, but a formal record of their marriage at that time has not been found. A Macon Co., GA marriage record for Georgia BARFIELD to Henry JACKSON on 22 NOV 1889 exists, however, the 1910 census further indicates that Georgia and Benjamin had both been married only once. Possibly, their marriage before 1906 was “common law”.
