*In the 1850 census for Coffee Co., AL, Francis Marion TAUNTON was in the home of Henry TAUNTON II. It is likely that Francis was also in Henry's home during the 1840 census for Pike Co., AL. Living next door to Henry in 1840 was Rebecca HARWELL (apparently a widow) and her children. Although Henry TAUNTON II is believed to be the father of Francis Marion TAUNTON, it is unclear who his mother was.
