*This date of birth is from Horace's WW I draft registration. The 1900 census gives his date of birth as JAN 1897, while his tombstone gives 8 FEB 1897. His tombstone also gives his date of death incorrectly as 3 FEB 1931. Horace's death certificate gives his age at death as 34, which is consistent with him being born JAN 1898, as are the 1910, 1920, and 1930 census records.
