*According to family stories, Lewis PRINCE was killed in an argument with his brother-in-law, Ephraim FOSTER, after an argument over some salt that one had borrowed from the other. Mr. FOSTER knocked Lewis PRINCE in the head with a hand stick. The FOSTER family moved to Texas and later to Oklahoma, near Norman.
