EOSGX adopts a convention by which all particle types known to GEANT are to be determined by the program on the basis of the particle Z and A only. The convention used is as follows:
The particle ID's are assigned internally for all nucleons, nuclei and pions. For all other particles, the particle type must be read in by EOSGX in place of the charge. The charge is then assigned internally. For the list of GEANT particle ID's, see the GEANT manual [1].
