View modes

The optional parameter VCHID, the view mode ID, specifies whether a view will be drawn in global (MARS) coordinates, or in the local coordinates of the volume, or will be executed in BUILD mode. BUILD mode assembles a view for a requested mother volume, one descendant volume at a time, in MARS coordinates, under the control of the graphics cursor. Clicking on the screen with the mouse within the volume boundary draws the next descendant volume, while clicking in the lower left corner exits the feature.

View mode character IDs:

Global = ``G''
Local = ``L''
Build = ``B''
At initialization time, the view mode is set to GLOBAL. The view mode is retained for each subsequent view until a different view mode ID is entered explicitly, in a new SETVIEW command.
