*From the obituaries of Henry Monroe JAMES and his sister Lila, it is known that Carrie gave birth to 14 children, including sons Aaron, Hilburn, and an infant son. These children are not listed in the 1910, 1920, or 1930 censuses so all of them presumably died young.
